-PAT ALLEN, ART THERAPIST
Rebecca is a passionate Art Therapist who brings a unique blend of creativity and empathy to her practice at Cherry Tree. She specializes in working with neurodivergent children and youth, focusing on FASD, ADHD, Autism, historical trauma, grief and loss, and mood disorders.
As an Art Therapist, Rebecca creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can express themselves freely through art. Her client-centred approach allows individuals to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences at their own pace. Rebecca believes that art therapy is not about creating perfect works but about using the creative process as a tool for healing, self-discovery, and personal growth.
Rebecca's professional values of honesty, kindness, empathy, and patience contribute significantly to creating a positive therapeutic environment. She employs various creative art methods alongside more traditional approaches, recognizing the advantages of Walk and Talk therapy for her young clients.
In her free time, Rebecca finds joy in watching her children grow and develop. She manages work-life balance through strong time management skills and flexibility, ensuring she can be present for both her clients and her family.
